Justice Pamoja Workshop – Kiambiu
Building Trust in Justice Systems
31 March · Kiambiu Social Justice Centre · Nairobi
Following a successful inaugural legal aid clinic in Githurai, Justice Pamoja is continuing its work in Nairobi with a second clinic in Kiambiu.
The Githurai clinic brought together experienced advocates and law students to provide free legal advice to members of the community. It also demonstrated the strength of Justice Pamoja’s model: pairing professional expertise with student training to expand access to justice while investing in the next generation of Kenyan lawyers.
Building on that experience, the Kiambiu clinic introduces several refinements:
Outreach through Nairobi’s “Ghetto Radio” to reach more clients
A redesigned physical setup, including a tent for group sessions and dedicated indoor space for confidential consultations
Continued collaboration between advocates, students, and community partners
By reaching a new community and strengthening the delivery model, Justice Pamoja continues to develop a scalable approach to community-based legal support in Kenya.
