Peter Williams

Board member, Justice Pamoja U.S., Peter Williams is an experienced anti-slavery leader with a strong track record in non-profit management across diverse cultural contexts. He currently serves as Regional President, Asia Pacific at International Justice Mission, where he oversees IJM’s efforts to strengthen justice systems, combat modern slavery, and protect vulnerable communities across the region.

Peter brings a unique blend of legal and organizational expertise. He began his career as a Crown Prosecutor in New Zealand, handling jury trial prosecutions, before joining IJM as a legal fellow in India. Since then, he has held multiple leadership roles across Asia, advancing justice system reform and supporting survivors of violence and exploitation.

With a BA and LLB from the University of Auckland, Peter combines legal acumen with proven skills in leadership, management, pastoral care, and international relations.
